GIFT University
has emerged to become a premier seat of learning
in the heart of Punjab. The University was established
in July 2002 and was formally inaugurated by the
Governor of the Punjab, Lt. Gen (R) Khalid Maqbool
H.I. (M), H.I. in September 2002. It is the first
chartered university between Lahore and Islamabad.
It has been granted charter by the Government of
Punjab and all its degrees are recognized by the
Higher Education Commission (HEC). |

The University is one of the pioneers to offer 4-years bachelors programs as per international standards in Pakistan. The University currently offers 4 undergraduate and 3 graduate programs. It conducts 4-years undergraduate Hons programs in Computer Science, Accounting and Finance, Business Administration, and Textile and Fashion Design. At graduate level, the University has masters programs in Business Administration, Accounting and Finance, and English Language and Literature. It is planning to offer a 3-year program in Law and a graduate program in Informatics from the Fall Semester of 2007. |
